For J's Products

It was in 2001 that our family-owned business, For J's, introduced its first product ... Mochi Puff Mix. Mixed with poi and water, teaspoon-sized portions of batter are deep-fried to make scrumptious poi puffs ... a delightful island treat. Our brother, Marc Tabayoyon (a Western Culinary Institute graduate), tweaked the recipe so it could be made with yams or sweet potatoes more readily available on the mainland than poi.

In 2003, For J's introduced their garlic, Hawaiian chili pepper, and hickory smoke infused gourmet sea salt. Popularity grew rapidly among local islanders and in tourist gift shops. Since then, Kiawe smoke and Maui onion infused sea salt were added to the product line. Our top-of-the-line gourmet sea salts are Red 'Alaea sea salts that chefs claim "smoothens the 'bite' of salt",

Our latest product line, pineapple, mango, and lychee fruit infused Hawaiian Cane Sugar, was introduced in late 2007 and is already gaining a following among connoisseurs of fine tea.
